Heidi's Personal Profile

Heidi began riding at age 6 at Lowell Boomer's Great Plains Equestrian Center and participated in the Cornhusker Pony Club for many years, along with fellow Medal Equestrian rider Alison Sader Larson.  Heidi has trained with Grand Prix riders Hokan Thorn, Jan Ebeling, Jesper Baek and Bill Solyntjes in Minnesota, North Carolina and California, and currently works with USET Developing Rider Alison Sader Larson in Wellington, FL during the winter months.  Heidi has also ridden in Advanced Young Rider clinics with Conrad Schumacher and Robert Dover and in the USDF Region 4 Adult Clinic Series with Walter Zettl. 

Heidi qualified for the North American Young Riders Championships five times on three different horses and was a member of the bronze medal team and finished eighth individually in 1996.  She has also earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and won numerous regional and national awards.  In 2004, Heidi attended the USDF Instructor Certification workshops as a participating instructor and in 2006 she was invited to attend the Young Dressage Horse Trainers Symposium at Hilltop Farm.  She also participated in the inaugural USET Young Rider Graduate Program with fellow Medal Equestrian rider Courtney King.  Heidi currently teaches and trains at Reinbow Dressage Center in Springfield, Nebraska and Pine Ridge Stable in Ashland, NE. She is a former board member of the Nebraska Dressage Association and is the current Junior Committee Chairman.  She also began the USDF ‘L’ Program in 2006.

Aside from dressage, Heidi graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Nebraska with a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics.  She was a software engineer for Kenexa Technologies, Inc for five years before becoming a full-time dressage trainer.
