Personal Profile

Julia Warstler is an
aspiring equestrian from Dryden, Michigan. She and her ever-faithful
dressage pony “Zippity-Do-Da” are an inspiration to all young people
who would like to ride and compete.
Julia
began her formal instruction at the age of five with Marion
Hutchins. She was very active in the local pony club and competed in the Class A
Hunter shows in the short stirrup and small ponies
division with her first pony,
Sugar, a 12 hand welsh mare. By the time she was seven she had decided that her heart
was in dressage, not jumping. In December of 1999 Julia found
Zippity and they have been moving up the levels ever
since.
The following
summer Julia and Zippity were discovered by Suzie Dutta (2003 Pan
American Team). They trained with Suzie in Florida for one
month and that is when her real love affair with Dressage began.
She is a very serious rider, giving up her gymnastic team and
school (she is home schooled by her mother) so she can spend three
months of the year training with Suzie Dutta and also
working with her grooms in Florida. Julia would like to
introduce more kids to the sport and one day hopes to be among the top
riders in America.
